Approximately 25,000 residences in southeastern Queensland found themselves without power on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms impacted the region, generating wind gusts hitting over 100 km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Widespread Impact
Locals witnessed large ice chunks reaching sizes of seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts announced that various areas across the state had been affected by significant hail.

Climate Outlook
Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
